Large coin silver goblet - cup.
Accompanied by 2 original documents, related to this cup and dated 1862.
Superb quality hand engraved oak leafs decoration.
Engraved on front: "presented to t a dickinson by the ladies of walpole march 1862".  
1st document - faded presentation letter reads: " mr. Dickinson, the ladies of walpole present you with this cup as an acknowledgment of the value of your service providing object for which the serenade band was organized. They also desire to testify in this way their high appreciation of your character as a man and a citizen. Accept it, sir, as a small token of our respect and esteem. We feel deeply indebted for your effort in organizing this company where performances on this and many previous have afforded us and the public so much gratification. Accept also our sincere wishes for you and their welfare and our hope that we may long rejoice in their proficiency in this refined and delightful pursuit. Presented by miss mary clark - at concert in the unitarian church, walpole, 1862" 
2nd document is a list of people who donated money to purchase this cup. It shows that total $27 was collected, which was a large amount of money in 1862 !
