Hand wrought wootz steel head richly decorated with gold and incrusted with real precious gemstones: 1 diamond, 2 rubes, 2 emeralds. 
Original wooden handle with iron core and brass rivets. 
Head is guaranteed made of "damascus" wootz steel - needs professional etching and polishing.

   Condition:
Very good antique condition with charming indication of age. 
Gold coftgari decoration is about 95-97% intact. 
Damage to silver setting and diamond at the top of axe head. 
Diamond is damaged and chipped - but it's still there (electronically tested real diamond). 
One of the emeralds on the side is chipped also.
Age wear to finish on wooden handle, minor damage to wood (last picture). 
Some imperfection to cutting adge (see pictures). 
Some imperfection to one side at the top of axe head (please see pictures).
Minor play between head and shaft.
