Magnificent antique silver-gilt enamel jewelry table box. 
Austrian ( austro - hungarian ), circa late 19th - early 20th century.
Finest possible quality, meticulous attention to smallest details.
Dark red "guilloche" enamel with white accents, figural rams head feet.   
Marked inside on both parts "austria sterling 935" and austro - hungarian silver hallmarks, maker's mark "aj". 
935/1000 silver standard (higher than sterling standard, most likely box was made for american market).

About 5 in. X 3 7/8 x 1 3/8 in. (12.7 x 9.9 x 3.5 cm) including feet.

About 12.4 troy oz. (386 gr.) - feels very heavy for the size.
 Condition:
Very good original antique condition with light handling marks and charming indication of age.  
Very minor imperfection to enamel - please see last 3 pictures. All 3 imperfections are hardly noticeable in real life and don't affect overall appearance.
