100% original uncleaned, unaltered wwi period military sword.
Excellent german / prussian m1873 model artillery sword.  
This model is based on famous m1796 british light cavalry sabre / m1811 "blucher" sword.
Blade is marked under languet at ricasso with alex coppel, solingen maker's mark. 
Also marked with military inspectors marks at the spine of blade. 
(inspectors / military acceptence marks on spine with number 13, indicates 1913 production year - right before wwi started).
Also marked on scabbard and hilt parts with military inspector's marks. 
Original steel scabbard. 
Grip is made of some kind of man-made material (bakelite? Resin?)
Superb german quality throughout.

About 36 3/8 in. (92.4 cm) long in scabbard (straight line).   
About 35 1/8 in. (89.2 cm) long out of scabbard.
Blade is about 29 7/8 in. (75.9 cm) long.

Excellent original antique condition, shows charming honest age wear - just the way collectors want to see it!
No play between hilt parts.
Extremely sharp blade is excellent with light period sharpening. 
Steel (iron) scabbard is excellent, shows normal honest field wear and expected hadling marks.
