Handle is carved of domestic cattle b0ne (mentioned to comply with ebay policy). 
Circa 19th century, dated at the top: "jan.11th 1890".
Superior quality hand carving - man running from a tiger. 
Brown color thorn-wood shaft (very sturdy).
Sterling collar marked: r.f.s. Co, solid silver. 
Thorn-wood shaft is slightly bent.

About 34 7/8 in. (88.6 cm) long. 
Handle is about 1 7/8 in. (4.6 cm) wide. 
Wooden shaft is about 13/16 in. (2 cm) diameter just under silver collar.

Very good original antique condition with normal charming indication of age.
Light normal age wear to wood. 
Normal expected stable age cracks and wear to handle.
Handle shows nice age patina.
Some age wear to original metal ferrule (tip of the shaft).
