Superb antique islamic dagger.

Rare form hand forged blade with worn gold koftgari decoration on both sides at ricasso. 
Overall quality suggests that blade maybe forged from wootz damascus steel, but we can not guarantee that, would need professional etching and polishing in order to find out.  
 Original silver over wood scabbard - very ornate high quality hand chased decoration on both sides. 
 Grip is carved from large single piece of b0ne (domestic animal cattle b0ne, mentioned to comply with ebay policy). Cattle is a large domestic farm animal kept for their milk or meat. This animal is not threatened or endangered or protected by cites, the endangered species act, or any other state, federal, or international laws. It is legal to sell this item and this listing follows ebay rules.

Overall very very good original antique condition, shows normal honest wear and charming indication of age.
Blade is in very good antique uncleaned condition. 
Honest age wear and stable expected age cracks to grip - nothing more than normal indication of age. 
Large shallow chip to one side of the grip, probably happened during working life of the dagger.
No movement between blade and grip. 
Gold koftgari decoration on blade is worn, but well noticeable. 
Expected handling marks and age wear to scabbard.
