Exceptional large antique islamic dagger. 
Fine quality weapon of status.   
Turkish ottoman period, circa early 19th century.
Probably balkan region / albanian.
Characteristic form hand forged blade with inlaid gold arabic calligraphy on one side.    
Silver hilt and original silver over wood scabbard - very ornate superb quality hand chased repousse decoration.

Blade is about 12 1/4 in. (31.1 cm) long.

Overall very very good original antique condition, shows normal honest wear and charming indication of age.
Blade is in very good antique uncleaned condition, shows age wear, scratches.
Some pitting at the tip of blade (no active rust, can be easily polished off). 
Minor honest age wear to silver grip and scabbard - nothing more than normal charming indication of age. 
No movement between blade and grip. 
Gold decoration on blade is 100% intact. 
No repairs.
