Marked under the base: bailey, banks & biddle, sterling. As we know bailey, banks and biddle silver company was founded on september 20th ,1832 at 136 chestnut street, philadelphia and was making its own silver until 1862. This magnificent example was probably made by other fine american silver maker and sold by bailey, banks and biddle -  one of the finest 19th century american retailers.

Very good original antique condition with minor charming indication of age. 
Very light normal handling marks.
