Austrian ( austro - hungarian ), made at the end of 19th century with pair of much older chinese jade plaques. 
Two magnificent antique hand carved chinese white jade plaques inset at the top. 
Hand carved jade plaques dated back to 18th century. 
From the second half of 19th century some finest european makers, including faberge, were using older (17th - 18th century) antique chinese jade pieces integrated in to silver and gold objects they created.

Marked inside on both parts with austro - hungarian silver hallmarks (1867 - 1922 period), maker's mark "kt".
